DUTIES OF THE TEAM MANAGER
Specific Duties
At the beginning of the season:
- Collect fees for the season.
- Distribute Club Codes of Conduct to all Team Members.
- Notify players/parents of team composition.
- Notify players/parents of time and venue for training.
- Notify players/parents of time and venue for first match and distribute the draw for the season
- When available (this is usually available at the first game of the season).
- Draw up a roster of parents to score at matches and supervise training – make sure all parents "do their share".
During the season:
- Remind families of duties.
- Make sure Club Codes of Conduct are followed.
- Make sure players names and numbers are entered on the score sheet prior to the match.
- Cover scoring duty if rostered family fail to arrive.
- Make sure players sign the back of the score sheet prior to the match.
- Explain scoring to inexperienced parents.
- Make sure parents do not sit on the bench – the bench is for players only.
- Ensure all players/parents are aware of the weekly “Ally Oop Scoop” newsletter available at all venues each Saturday.
- Be responsible for organising team’s stadium duty when it arises – this will be detailed in the weekly “Ally Oop Scoop” newsletter available at each venue on match days.
- Register any new players starting during the season on the back of the score sheet with name, address, and date of birth.
- Refer any concerns or issues that arise to Club President.
At the end of the season:
- Ensure registration forms for next season are returned to the club completed and on time.
- If the team makes the finals, ensure parents/ players are aware of time and venue.
- Advise all parents/players of time and venue of end of season presentation function.
- Organise gift from team to the coach to be presented at end of season function.
